Quick Closet Makeover through Online Shopping!

I’m not a big fan of the word “makeover”. It sounds like there is something inherently wrong. But sometimes, our wardrobes need a major haul. A mix of  some new pieces, a good closet edit or a little bit of both can make lot of difference.

You know those days when you feel over or under dressed or you wake up and feel like you have nothing to wear. If you can relate to these fire signs then you either lack in basics, or you buy the same basics over and again. Its time to take your measurements and focus on buying what you need to balance out your wardrobe.

When it comes to shopping, I’m obsessed with Online Shopping as its become a much easier way to shop considering that it doesn’t even require you to leave your house!  You can search for exactly what you want, facing no crowds or queues and it is easy to compare prices and reviews while you relax in your couch.

Its not important to be a very fashionable person but one should move with the time. This plays a very important factor in updating your wardrobe. Fashion is an artistic expression of what is inside. I believe that fashion has the ability to transform you into a new personality, a different person. Your individual style tells lot about you. So without much ado lets look into the current trends that fits your lifestyle.

This year its all about the exposed shoulder wether it comes to traditional lehenga blouse or the modern dresses. Cut outs will add that required pinch of drama.

Also the travel friendly, comfortable washed out plaids are also coming back this season. Super stylish yet simple creating the perfect airport look for you.

For that perfect feminine touch, look out for tinier, tighter, knife pleats as carwash pleats are passe.

From dresses to skirts, this year is nothing but net to add dimensions to your outfit and gives a soft touch to your whole look.

Orange is the new black. This colour will continue ruling this year too! Add more of this colour to your wardrobe to look trendy and fresh.
Replacing the bucket bags, the half moon bags are rocking this year and when you carry these with pride don’t forget to top up your style quotient with a Moto Watch adding elegance to your finished look.

I’m in love with the trending X – line dresses. Its super cool when paired with the comy shoes, perfect for the comfy  Sunday brunch look.

Say goodbye to leopard prints and make room for dresses and tops with tropical twists! From brightly coloured batik, geometric florals and lush blooms to squirrels and rabbits to wearable designs are bursting with elan.

This year the fashion trends are revolving around comfort. Its hard to go wrong with the comfort-oozer tunics with a versatile touch. Tunics are a must haves, its a cross between the all courant alternative to a kurti and an Indian interpretation of the dress.
Anti-fit is all everyone talking about now. Sheer anti-fit overlays & ankle length robe coats are signature outwears today. A perfect casual wear spruced up with a crop top plus slit skirt combo for a party-perfect look.

Statement making flared sleeves are back with a bang. Bell sleeves will revive your whole look and will take your makeover to new trendy heights.

Delicate embroider blouses, cropped pants, jumpsuits with floral prints, high-waist shorts, flared pants would definitely uplift your style quotient like never before.
When it comes to owning a cool pair of denim, the trend this season is all set to make you look hotter. Try on ripped jeans with huge shredded, gaping hole and ventilation friendly bottoms. You can wear them with anything you want, from simple plain white tees to stylish silk blouses and lightweight suit jackets.

Following a certain trend isn’t necessary. Its more important to have fun with fashion. You can always mix and match, shop smart with what fits your lifestyle the most. Hope these trendy stylish updates help you reviving your closet.

Happy shopping guys.

Till next time, stay happy & fab!

  9. I completely agree re: colour orange. I started incorporating more orange into my wardrobe this spring and I don’t think I’m ever getting rid of it. I just can’t be sad when I’m wearing orange.

Thanks for all your work in compiling these trends for us. 🙂

  10. Where do you stay Shweta ? All these are cute. I only hate the ripped jeans culture. I prefer Net, Georgette Gowns. I’m in India and here the latest craze is Plaazoos and Gowns and of course the never out of fashion little black dress.
